Instead of clogging up the “shidduchim tips” thread with your suggestions of places to go, please post all ideas here. (Also please repost if you wrote them on the other thread) Let’s make this as informative as possible.

I’m not really here. Just posting a tip.

Mikomos.org has lots and nots of places to go – for dates or otherwise. It’s a Wiki site, so anyone can add. Listed by City and State. Great resource!

Billiards, a movie, pick up food and hang out in the car, an art gallery, a coffee shop, a hotel lounge, a restaurant, rollerblading or biking, Barnes and Noble, arcades…depends on your interests and his/hers. I think some of my best dates were dates with no specific destination – just hanging out and talking. I had a great date car shopping with a guy. You don’t necessarily need a whole plan to have fun and get to know each other.

My Yarlmulka once blew overboard on the Circle Line. One of the crew members gave me a Circle Line crew hat (and let me keep it!)

In the summer, head to a local park or lake and walk around. The weather is good, the scenery is nice and you get excersize. Make sure to warn the girl so she isnt walking around in 4 inch heels though!

SJS – I’d do that in the winter too. Just make sure you both are properly bundled up.

who evers from lakewood should try the sheraton on route 35!!! Its also a place to go instead of ocean place n its only like 7 min away from there!!

    #774337

    *Funtime america

    *Funmania

    *Swingtime (that’s right near lakewood)

*Six flags- that’s for the later dates

    *bowling

*a time to kiln (painting pottery)

The Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island was one of my most pleasant date trips. It is very quiet, and is pleasant and clean. I always preferd dating in a hotel lounge over anything noisy and dirty. A friend of mine said her date took her to the skyride, I think that is a little weird!!

Phyllis- don’t give away all the quiet places, they’ll turn into the local zoo (and then I’ll have nowhere to go ;))

A tip to where NOT to take a girl on a date:

The lobby of the Avenue Plaza on 13th ave… (my sister never before met so many people she knew on a date…and this was all from just going in and out of the hotel)
