If anyone knows the pasuk that you say at the end of shmoneh esrai for the name roni (Starts with a ‘resh’ ends with a ‘yud’) I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance Chatimah Tova!October 1, 2014 10:31 pm at 10:31 pm #1033897
I don’t know if a posuk can be considered the “official” one for any name, let alone a Modern Hebrew one, but there are five such p’sukim in the Reish section of Tehillim 119. Take your pick!October 1, 2014 11:36 pm at 11:36 pm #1033898Letakein GirlParticipant
Was the name Roni given at this person’s bris?October 2, 2014 9:38 am at 9:38 am #1033899Shopping613 🌠Participant
In general how does it go by?
I know people with two names that have a posuik for each. or is it the first leeter of the first name and the last letter of the second name, or the first of the first name and the last letter of the last name…
Also, I know someone who has been searching for a posuk with ‘heh’ and ‘samech’.
Anyone know one??October 2, 2014 11:43 am at 11:43 am #1033900ivoryMember

Aside from the nickname, I’m pretty sure ‘Roni’ (the full name) is a girl’s name…..but I stand to be corrected 🙂October 2, 2014 12:56 pm at 12:56 pm #1033902
Shopping: Each name gets a posuk that begins with its first letter and ends with its last.
It seems the name “Sima” (runs in my family) has no posuk – at least, not if you spell it samech-yud-mem-aleph.October 2, 2014 1:25 pm at 1:25 pm #1033903
Noticing the [-3] at the end of the thread’s URL, I decided to see what this title had previously been used for.
1st time – Vote for a picture (of a baby, I think) to try to win a stroller for a family – it failed. (4 years ago)
Sparked a discussion on whether it was right to try to win in this manner. My opinion: I think that’s mostly the idea!
2nd time – Help with setting up a camp hotline – one reply (2 years ago)
3 – Tehillim for a ba’al teshuvah who had had a heart attack – response was positive. He was doing better of 10 posts later. (2 years ago)
In case anyone’s interested, when you make a thread with a title that has already been used, “-1” is added to the URL. If the title has been used twice, “-2” will be added, and so on.October 2, 2014 2:15 pm at 2:15 pm #1033904Prankster-123Member
I am looking for a posuk that starts with a ‘bet’ and ends with a ‘taf’October 2, 2014 8:21 pm at 8:21 pm #1033906hashem1826Member
It has to start with a resh and end with a yud, the name im searching for is very uncommon, however i figured someone might know the pasuk through a more common nameOctober 2, 2014 9:30 pm at 9:30 pm #1033907Letakein GirlParticipant
