I walk alot. And many times i cross streets that dont have traffic lights, but stop signs. I cannot tell you how many times i find that people dont stop by stop signs! I always wait if i see a car coming but I’m always surprised again and again at how careless and selfish these people are!
I might be a careful ‘walker’. But i do see, many many times, how young children or even adults just walk into the street and have to make a short stop cuz the cars just zoom down the blocks and ignore the basic traffic law of stopping.
I walk in a quieter neighborhood but what about all those other neighborhoods that have many schools and yeshivos?!
I feel like I have to hold a stop sign whenever i walk! Please! everyone drive safely! Please dont make Hashem take another korbon from us for us to get that message!!

October 12, 2011 12:55 pm at 12:55 pm #816881One of our day workers who was in U.S. for many years and received their driver’s liscense here in U.S. returned to their home country. Their U.S. driver’s license was not recognized and they had to take the whole driving course and lessons which are more stringent there.
In short many driver’s and pedestrians here in U.S. do as if they are the only ones out on the road!
