What post high school yeshivas are considered the best(strongest learning) either in America or in Israel, does anyone have any info regarding torah vodaas, south fallsburg, or toras moshe in eretz yisrael?

what type of info do you want?

What type of bochurim go to the school, what they do after they leave the yeshiva, overall caliber of Torah learning.

That is an extremely broad question. You have qualified best, by saying strongest learning. My honest answer is The Mirrer Yeshiva in Yerushalayim. You can get whatever type of learning and shiurim you want there. But on the flip side, it is also the easiest place for a bochur to ‘get lost’.

Is the boy a shtark learner who knows very well what his goals in life are? Or does he tend to get distracted?

South Fallsburg has a very yeshivish crowd. The alumni typically end up in BMG, and go on to either stay in learning or get a yeshivishe job.

Toras Moshe is geared to getting the smart individuals who are on their way to college. Some of the alumni end up going to college, some don’t.

Torah Vodaas really depends on whose shiur you’d attend. R’ Savitsky’s shiur attracts people similar to South Fallsburg (not as “yeshivish”). R’ Reisman’s shiur is in English, has less yeshivish people, a lot of whom go to college or will go to college.

As far as where the best learning would be…I don’t think that should be posted here.

    Why not?

Maybe it should. But I’m not in the mood of starting a potential argument about it.

Then again, maybe it shouldn’t. Anything which can cause such an argument is probably best avoided.

    Maybe it should.

So do it when you get in the mood.

What are you doing on an online forum altogether, then?

I think it would be best if you clarified for people what type of yeshiva you are looking for. There are many yeshivos with shtark bochrim and high level shiurim. It’s the nuances that distinguish them.

What type of atmosphere are you looking for? What are your long term goals? What type of chevra are you looking for?

    1) The boy is looking for a yeshivish environment, and plans on staying in learning for as long as possible. He is a serious learner.

    2) The yeshivas I listed were just examples if anyone is aware of other yeshiva please let me know

    3) Are the top shiurim in south falls burg and Torah vodaas in yiddish?

    4) Do bochurim typically go to the Mir straight out of high school?

What’s the top yeshiva in America learning-wise, besides for BMG?

Do any American Litvish yeshivos still give their top shiurim primarily in Yiddish?

    Joseph,

Emphasis on the word “such an argument”

shtarksfardi, The top shiurim in South Fallsburg and Torah Vodaas are in yiddish, but TV has an English alternative.

Bochurim don’t typically go to Mir straight out of high school but it’s not totally uncommon.

For the top yeshiva in America, I can’t tell you. Of the three you mentioned, I would reckon Toras Moshe, but a lot depends on the personality of the bochur, as well.

EDIT: Also, just to clarify, I’m referring to the Toras Moshe in Eretz Yirsrael (R’ Moshe Meiselman). I don’t know of any other yeshiva by such a name.

What about Kol Torah in EY, does anyone have info similar to what was requested previously? Also, is it a difficult yeshiva to get into?
