I hope no one will be offended by submitting a “prayer” I wrote to say at candle lighting time on Erev Shabbos. It asks for mercy on behalf of different groups of people in desperate situations. Feel free to print or forward to others.

    *********************************************

PRAYER AT TIME OF HADLOKAS NEIROS ON BEHALF OF SUFFERING BRETHREN

Our Dear Father in Heaven, we are awed by the magnitude of Your greatness and Your glorious Majesty

And humbled by our lowliness and our total dependence on Your kindness for our every breath

We tremble at the realization that there is so much at stake for us to knock at Your door at the arrival of the holy Shabbos day

As we offer Tefillos for those too helpless or desperate to pray to You on their own behalf

    ***********************************************

Our Merciful Father, remember for salvation and mercy from the eternal high Heavens

The plight of desperately ill and injured children; please take pity on Your little sheep so fragile

Let their cries cause You to ascend to Your throne of mercy and turn the tide for their salvation

O Sheppard of Israel, our eyes are turned expectedly to You, for besides You we have no redeemer or savior

It is up to You -please do not withhold Your healing powers from Your tender flock

    ***********************************************

Please remember those who are having difficulty finding their Shidduch

Our dear Father please collect the pain in their hearts; think of them sitting at a Shabbos Table so alone

May they be Zoche to start their own families, blessed and filled with Kedushah and Simcha from Your loving Hashgochoh

    ***********************************************

Please turn your radiant countenance of love and blessing to childless couples

Father Dear – You empathize so keenly with the gnawing emptiness tormenting their soul

Convert their tears into healing potions and make them partners with You in the miracle of creation

Please remember these couples and visit upon them Your miraculous salvation, as You did to Soroh, Rochel and Channah

    ***********************************************

Ribbono Shel Olam, please visit the damp, cold, dark and nightmarish prison cells of those who are held captives

Please open the doors of their cells forever and enable them to once again greet the Shabbos Queen as free people

Father Dear, please also be mindful of women who are prisoners in their own homes, abused or Agunos

Please bring a cure to Your daughters so worn out by suffering; take pity on Your handiwork

    ***********************************************

    Father Dear, return now, look down from Heaven and see, and be mindful of Your young sons and daughters who are forsaken to hopelessness and endless darkness day after day;

Having lost their way from the Derech HaTorah; even Shabbos and Yom Tov bring little respite

Father Dear, give them an avenue, their own unique way in holiness- so that they can strive for greatness

O Hashem return them, illuminate Your face so that they may be saved

    ***********************************************

For those without or insufficient Parnosah, may their children never again have to watch in agony

While their parents open up Tzedaka packages to put food on their Shabbos table

Please open up all doors of Parnosah to them; may all their needs be met bountifully from Your open and generous hand

So that they may, from now on, conduct their Shabbos shopping with joy and relief, opening their homes to guests from near and far.

    ***********************************************

Very soon, may the redeemer come to Tzion and the bearer of good tidings deliver us the most welcome news

That all our troubles are over and that the sad plight of all desperate people will be turned

From sorrow to unbounded joy, from darkness to light and from suffering to total relief

And all our Shabbosos will be celebrated by all your children with a single heart full of Simcha

For the unsurpassed glory and unity that Your name shall be afforded from all corners of the world

Silent One, that is really beautiful. I can feel your heart in it. I’ve been wondering how you’re doing. Hope you’re ok.
