Every great leader needs an epithet.

June 30, 2025 9:23 am at 9:23 am #2419615ujmParticipantThe New York Times, of all places, has an article in today’s Sunday paper about adding President Trump to Mount Rushmore.
Naturally, the Times poo-poo’s it as being technically challenging, but it says there’s more active consideration to actually doing it than for any previous president since it was completed in 1941.
June 30, 2025 9:23 am at 9:23 am #2419626akupermaParticipantThe “lucky”. His “wins” are due to having stupid opponents that Trump can maneuver into making fools of themselves. For example, even though most illegal aliens (quasi-legal, since Biden gave them permission to work) are law abiding tax payers, Trump has tricked the Democrats into defending rioters and criminals (who are very atypical). Mamdani and the Iranians are further examples of fools who shoot themselves in the foot when opposing Trump.

I’m not a major Trump fan but there is just a limit to how little credit you can give someone by blaming their opponents incompetence. Had a guy like John
McCain or Mitt Romney became president and their political heir would be heading the Republican party none of what Trump accomplished would have happened. That is aside for the fact that had Kamala Harris been running against another John McCain or Mitt Romney she very likely would have won the election. What did they ever think of doing that didn’t boil down to Democratic party-lite?June 30, 2025 12:15 pm at 12:15 pm #2419859ujmParticipantKB: There’s no stira. Others had it as well; most notably Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

Jews call that ‘Hashgacha’. For that very reason, there is no need to get overexcited about any בשר ודם, although he certainly deserves credit for the good things he did.
ujm – if there is no room on Mount Rushmore they could always carve his face on Mount Fordow… To send a subtle message…
June 30, 2025 8:46 pm at 8:46 pm #2420043Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantI gave chatgpt several historical examples, and asked to continue:
Trump – the Disruptive
Obama – “the Eloquent”
Biden – “the Steady”
GW Bush the Decider
Bibi – “the Survivor”July 1, 2025 9:03 am at 9:03 am #2420098☕️coffee addictParticipant“Biden-the steady”

July 1, 2025 9:04 am at 9:04 am #2420166Sam KleinParticipantDonald Trump is doing a great job but we need to make sure to remember that its really all coming from Hashem and he is just a puppet messenger to do his job that Hashem chose for him to do.
Same with all politicians from governors and senators to local .mayors and even askanim they are just actors and everything is coming from Hashem. With Hashem having a plan for every situation.
July 1, 2025 6:56 pm at 6:56 pm #2420280Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantcoffee, chatgpt gave several additional sharper terms, going both left and right, but I decided to settle on the first suggestions so that we can fairly compare. It seems to reflect average media perception rather than any deep analysis.
