Hi, I live in Brooklyn and I’m interested in Judaism but I don’t have any connections in the community. I can’t seem to find any ladies programs or classes. Can anyone help me find something?

October 28, 2025 10:12 am at 10:12 am #2464040SQUARE_ROOTParticipantI actually agree with UJM!!
Will wonders never cease?
Becoming a Noachide is much more logical, and much much much easier, than becoming a Jew.
There is also a very big problem with people “converting” to Judaism, for the wrong reasons.

It is terribly difficult for people who sincerely want to be part of klal Yisroel to hear all the time that they should become Bnei Noach, as if they have never heard that before. Please if you have something useful say it and if not just refrain from that kind of devorim Betailim.

I’ll answer you because I have seen you around in the cr
We don’t live in the 90s and this isn’t a real coffee room
1) Just like this “woman” (cant tell just because someone says something on an anonymous website doesn’t make it true) went here and asked her question she could have just googled it
2 the “woman” said she lives in Brooklyn but doesn’t mention where, im sorry but Brooklyn isnt Out Of Town (at least not yet) there is Boro Park, Flatbush, Crown Heights, Midwood, Carnarsie, Mill Basin and thats just to name a few
I totally agree with commonsaychel
October 29, 2025 3:22 pm at 3:22 pm #2464685yytzParticipantNawrin: This isn’t a very good place to ask your question. I think Imamother.com might have a section for converts.
There are hundreds of shuls in Brooklyn to choose from. Try attending a few on Shabbos morning and see if there’s one where you like the people and rabbi. If so you can start learning with the rabbi or rebbetzin.
Converting takes persistence and tenacity. Most who are interested never complete a conversion. The process can take a few years. Be patient and give yourself time to figure things out. If you realize it’s for you, go for it, and if you’re not sure, you can be a noahide.
People can be discouraging on purpose to ensure only very sincere converts, who persist and refuse to take no for an answer, end up converting. Try not to stress or take things personally. If you’re meant to convert, you’ll convert, when the time is right.

November 2, 2025 6:48 pm at 6:48 pm #2466663davkaParticipantNawrin, you might want to try Ohr Naava in Brooklyn, 2201 E 23rd St. 718-647-6228. I’m not sure if they can help you, but they may know someone who can.
