Why has it rained almost daily in Brooklyn for the last month?
It rained over Shavuos. I believe the Shlah says to expect rain if it rains over Shavuos.
Oh, the p’shat? Yeah, I once heard an interesting phat about it, but it’s derech drush.
But it’s clearly beyond the scope of the Copenhagen Counsel (Chachmei Chelem), they only predict heat, not precipitation.
In truth, I do not know. I’ve only heard this from others but they did say it in regards to a comment about an American city receiving rain over Shavuos so I can’t tell you one way or another.
simple. Imagine how hot it would be if it hadn’t been raining this often. Death Valley temperatures in Flatbush anyone?
