Tehillim, chapter 119, verse 155:
“THE WICKED ARE FAR FROM SALVATION,
BECAUSE THEY DID NOT SEEK YOUR LAWS [chukecha].”
THE MALBIM COMMENTARY ON THIS VERSE explains that to be worthy of salvation, it is not enough to obey only those commandments that seem logical; to be worthy of salvation, we must also obey those commandments whose reasons are not known to us.
The rasha in the Hagadah says מה העבודה הזאת לכם, what is this service performed by you? The rasha isolates himself from eating the korban Pesach as he does not understand that Jews are above the horoscope and therefore we sacrifice the lamb, the zodiac sign, mazel for the month of Nissan. It requires milah, circumcision which according to the Sefer Hachinuch indicates that a person’s actions are not predetermined but one can change.
