I just found the following Radak interesting regarding Gaza.
However,
-not in any way to say that Gaza is verified to be the area of Azah in Tanach,

My current understanding is that the Jews historically never fully conquered ??? ??????. And therefore never sanctified it as halachic Israel status. It seems that it can be part of ??? ????? from the parsha/radan. 1967 may have been considered sanctification according to some.

Just one disclaimer that you forgot to add- that whether or not the state of Israel has control over Gaza has nothing to do with hashems promise to the Jewish people that it belongs to them
