Anyone have some background on HaRav Hagaon Rav Simcha Maimon שליט״א? Is he still giving shuir in Brisker Kollel? Would be interested to hear a little about his gadlus in Torah, his derech halimud, and his makom in the Torah velt.
He was supposed to have been leaving Brisker Kollel and starting his own Taharos kollel this [elul] zman. I don’t know if that ended up happening.
Rav Simcha Maimon is a big talmid chochom, a real baal lomdus, very sharp and deep. He gave shiur in Brisker Kollel for years and is very well known and held in high regard in the yeshiva velt. He just left last zeman and opened a yeshiva for top bochurim in EY. He has a very strong derech in learning, especially in Kodshim.
He actualy opened a kollel (with a few bochrim).
His derech and mehalech was actualy in nashim nezikin the yeshivish mesechtos, and only recently did he move to kodshim.
He is held by most as the biggest in the “american mehalach” as the biggest in the world more than any other american rosh yeshiva
