Many cell phone companies work together so that when you are out of you company’s coverage, you can get service thorough a diffrent phone company. This is very comman upstate.
Many phone companies will charge extra if you place or recive phone calls while “roaming”.
Some plans do not pay more for roaming, HOWEVER any call made while roaming will use “minutes”, even mobile-to-mobile or nights and weekends.
