    How good is it?

Many people extol it to the skies. I, however, have a few problems with the sample that they give you on their site. For example, how are you supposed to know what exactly the picture represents? A picture of a couple waving hi in a car can be many different things!

Also, I don’t understand how you can

If you finished all five levels of a language, how long did it take and how fluent were you then?

From what I’ve seen of Rosetta Stone, it’s in the language immersion style, where it’ll show you a picture and the word associated with it in the foreign language. Having tried (and failed) to learn Israeli Hebrew immersion style, I don’t know if I’m so compatible with this platform, but I’m sure others have had success with Rosetta Stone.

Rosetta Stone does offer one-on-one tutoring of sorts with a native speaker, if I’m not mistaken, but I have no idea how that works. I’m imaging it’s something like Hebrew Online/e-Teacher, but I haven’t tried it.

Just like many other forms of education, if you are committed to learning and are willing to put the time in, rosetta stone will work.

I personally have used it and can say that it is good software, as long as the student is dedicated.

Is the Hebrew version of Rosetta Stone effective in helping a non-Hebrew speaker learn the language well?

Why? The Yiddish version is probably not any good

There is no Rosetta Stone for yiddish

Its quite expensive like $250 and for Spanish there are 2 versions, the Spain Spanish version and the latin American Spanish. American Spanish is like Latin American Spanish so you are better off getting that one. The difference between Latin American Spanish and Spain Spanish is basically like the difference between UK english and American english although slightly more than that.
