I’m in the midst of creating a Shavuos play about Rus for elementary girls. It won’t be anything major, but I want it to be good. Their mothers and other close relations and friends will be coming to see it. I want it to not stray too far from the original story, yet still be funny and enjoyable. I have scene one in a marketplace, where Princess Rus sees fellow Moabite ladies (Avdah, Zoori, and Pesel) argue to a shopkeeper about a pedestal for their various gods, and Rus realizes that there has to be more to life than this, and is unsatisfied with the avodah zarah of her own people.
Does anyone have any ideas to incorporate into this play? Any meforshim that would be interesting for it? Any suggestions? It would really help me. Thank you.
try Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg

On the heels of Megillas Lester, maybe a play focusing on Rus uncovering Boaz’s feet: Megillas Fus
