Nowadays, people look at each other politically, whether conservative or liberal, and assume they know the person just from that. We need to look at the whole person. Not everyone is the same. Everyone has flaws, but good points too. When we see the good, like in a fellow Jew, we can can have more unity. Then we have more bracha from Hashem
It says, haveh don es kol ‘hoodom’ lekaf zechus, Pirkei Avos (1,6), by looking at the whole person when judging them.
Judging them as each individual on his/her own and accept them, basever panim yafos, with pleasantness.
