    I read this term a lot and I am unsure of its meaning.

    What does it mean and what is its proper context?

    Someone who is embarrassed by “weird” Jewish laws, customs, traditions, minhagim, halachas, etc. and apologies for Jews practicing these to-a-gentiles-eyes odd practices and/or even attacks Jews who have these traditions for practicing them, especially in public. Or someone embarrassed to go outside in public fully dressed as a Jew.

    Commentors on this website seem to use the term to describe any Jew with whom they disagree, especially when it comes to halachic matters.
