I’m still looking for all of my options. Are there any seminaries for girls in the United States?
November 21, 2010 1:52 pm at 1:52 pm #742842tzippiMemberSure.
There are sems in NY but besides BYBP I don’t know which offer dorm facilities.
In Baltimore there’s Maalot and Bina.
In Cleveland, Yavne.
In Detroit, the Detroit Teachers’ Seminary.
There are Chabad sems in NY and Fla.
If you want to go to Canada, there are sems in Toronto and Montreal.

And this new one is outside Lakewood, not in it? What kind of dorm facilities will there be?
I also forgot about the sem/college in Chicago. (WITS?)

I don’t know so much about this seminary, but my sister is looking into it, because she is thinking about going. From what I hear, it is opening somewhere in NJ, close to Lakewood, but not in it. They are having a dorm. It seems that they are trying to make the academics on a higher level than most American seminaries. Hope this info helps you!
Also there is a relatively new seminary in Toronto, you might want to find out about that.

Regarding the Chicago Seminary:
It’s called Anne Blitstein Teachers Institute. Simply shortened to T.I.
It’s under the auspices of Hebrew Theological College AKA Skokie Yeshiva!
