    Does anyone have an up to date list of shadchan emails in the us, Canada, and the uk that I could contact. I am a really busy person and dont always have time to call. Orthodate led me to a guy with a number of red flags and I dont want to pay unless I get engaged.

    So I am between mo machmir and modern yeshivish. But like I want my husband to be a black hatter, its just that (and this isnt being mentioned for the sake of being controversial), I dont see myself after my experience in a bais yaakov wanting to send my kids to a bais yaakov but I wouldn’t mind sending my sons to slightly yeshivish yeshivas provided that they have a strong college preparatory educational component. In other words, i dont want to send my kids to schools that heavily promote and are mechanech their talmidim to be rabbis/ teachers and if my kids want it it shouldn’t be because of the schools. Yet at the same time I listen to non Jewish music.

    no, there isn’t, n i’m not a shadchante either. I just fiddle with ideas and occasionally pass them along to someone who will suggest them. As far as a list of shadchanim in general tho, i believe the hamodia has a list printed?

    That costs money, which I dont have. Especially because I was just scammed into working for a kosher restaurant for a week and spent hundred dollars on gas. And then got let go because I was misled and they justified not paying me.

    how far away was this restaurant that you spent $100 on gas? is everything ok with your car if you’re going through 2 tanks in a week?

    30 minute drive each way. I also drove a few other places too. And share the car with my mom but normally it takes two weeks tp go through a tank of gas and from tuesday to thursday, I nearly went through a whole tank. In temporary fantasy world/ current reality, my mom paid for it but I need assets too. I got a babysitting job tomorrow. All I can put on my resume from November till now is back up babysitter. But I need more babysitting jobs 🙂

    Vogue- why dont you try looking for an office/administrative job? Otherwise go to collage and get a degree if you cant afford it, you can always get loans and pay them back when acctualy making real money! Im sorry things sound pretty tough for you but just remeber that everything your doig is for the best and for your benefit.

    I will be IYH taking an online summer school course through my local community college this summer so I only have to go on campus for tests and stuff.
