Hi! Does anyone know of shadchanim in the New York area that deal with a mixed type of shidduchim? I’m finding that most of them deal with either chasidish/ litvish, and I know someone who’s looking for more of a heimish type. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Not sure what you’re talking about- can you clarify?
I don’t like pigeonholing people, but, yes, I have to admit there are different types and they usually marry within their own community. I can basically define chassidish & litvish (although the litvish I know think they are yeshivish; “litvish” is a word chassidish people use to describe yeshivish. Are you confused yet?)
What do you mean by “heimish”?? Someone who speaks Yiddish? Eats galla? Pronounces the puddings eating at the Friday night seuda “keegel” instead of “kugel”? Or should that be “choolent” instead of “cholent” for Shabbos day seuda? Someone who has mitzva tantz? Someone who wears a gartel? Maybe if you give us a better idea of what you mean, provided you yourself know what you mean (I’m assuming you do), then someone here can help you out.

i dont know if they deal with heimish tho… but def with yeshivish and litvish
call your marries friends or have your mother call her friends that have married children and if their shadchanim dont deal with the type your looking for im sure they’ll be able to reccommend another shadchan that does deal with your type…

I once got a comprehensive list of shadchanim that listed the clientele each worked with and their locations by googling it. I don’t remember the site but I recognized a lot of the names so I am pretty sure it was legit. Try googling shadchanim list or something like that.

So Heimish is someone who davens Nusach Sefard, holds on to some Chassidishe hanhagos, and levush, without being fully Chassidish?
Hi! Does anyone know of shadchanim in the New York area that deal with a mixed type of shidduchim? I should hope that all Shadchanim are dealing with mixed marriages between a man & a woman.
If Chas vSholom they are not dealing with mixed marriage, but the other tragic type of set up whose terminology I will not debase myself to mention on this forum, we are then in the midst of a spiritual tragedy.
