The strategy of kissing up to Cuomo has backfired tremendously.

Aside from the issues of “virtual negiah”, why did anyone expect that a politician would act in a principled manner, showing loyalty to those who showed him loyalty.

They fought Cuomo and lost. He is the Governor. The courts have ruled for him.

everybody this is when it should be obvious

The same Hockers who just a week or two ago were talking & standing up so “tough” to the governor
Completely zero to do with policy or Agenda
Their whole power as mover & shakers relative to our communities respectively
has to do with supposed associations and supposedly necessary middlemen with the powers-that-be
    How they do it ?

Presently, first pretend to be leading where the masses wish to go
And when the governors showed it up to as empty hot air they flipped sides
And with a subtle abrupt shift they now switch to Craven submission to Cuomo

Do you realize how many Jews there are compared to Non-Jews in NY ?
You are under the false impression that Cuomo won the election due to the Orthodox Jewish vote. The people of the state of NY gave him power not the orthodox Jews.
He would have won even if all the orthodox Jews had voted against him.
    He won 3,635,340 to 1,926,485.
In the presidential election, the orthodox vote is completely irrelevant in the final Electoral college numbers.

He is the governor. Now we have to deal with him.

    #1911854

    1,

OUR impact is massively bigger than our numbers

False Attempt using both sides of the mouth
The Askanim portray us as so powerful(which we ARE)
UNTIL they fall deservedly on their face, that is
THEN they Switch To “He would have won even if all the orthodox Jews had voted against him.
He won 3,635,340 to 1,926,485″invariably when convenient

Concurrent to the main meeting, Rabbi Shmuel Lefkowitz, Agudath Israel’s vice president for community affairs and chairman of the board of Chayim Aruchim, Agudath Israel’s division dedicated to end-of-life issues; and Leon Goldenberg, member of Agudath Israel’s Board of Trustees and one of the leaders of its Government Affairs Committee; met with legislators to explain the Orthodox Jewish opposition to controversial legislation promoting assisted suicide. Attending legislators included Assembly Health Committee Chairman Richard Gottfried; Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, sponsor of the bill in the Assembly; and Senator Diane Savino, sponsor of the bill in the Senate. Rabbi Shmuel Blech of Lakewood, New Jersey, an advisor to the Legislature of New Jersey on end-of-life issues, and infectious disease expert Dr. Dan Berman presented arguments against the legislation.

The proposal appears to be the latest effort by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to show his public intent at uniting Democrats in the Senate, a fractious chamber that has become an increasingly sore point for liberal activists in New York that was heightened in the wake of President Trump’s election…

Both would have to disarm their political efforts at winning primaries against IDC or non-IDC candidates. The final chess piece — Sen. Simcha Felder, a Brooklyn Democrat who conferences with the Senate GOP — would presumably switch to the Democratic side and give the party 32 members..
“This is a very exciting development. Since its very inception the IDC has worked to move the Senate out of dysfunction to advance progressive policies. We are ready to move forward, provided any final agreement between Democrats is based on the legislative agenda that we put forth on May 22, which includes: the Reproductive Health Act, the DREAM Act, GENDA, protecting Title X funding, public campaign finance, single-payer health care and the Comprehensive Contraceptive Coverage Act.

“We are eager and ready to be part of a Democratic Coalition that could proudly and publicly state what its legislative positions are going into the 2018 session.

Emblem Health, which insures most of New York City’s municipal workers, has entered into a settlement with the state attorney general after being accused of denying sex change surgery coverage to transgender clients..

But the AG’s office found the insurer based the denials on “misleading and deceptive information” tied to outdated guidelines and concluded the rejections violated state law.

As part of the settlement, Emblem agreed to pay full restitution to members who paid out of pocket for the procedures, as well as a $250,000 fine.

Emblem has also updated its gender reassignment surgery guidelines to comply with state law, according to the AG’s office release.

“Health plans have a basic obligation to cover medically necessary health care for their transgender members,” Underwood said.

“My office will continue to protect the rights of transgender New Yorkers and ensure they’re treated with the fairness and dignity they deserve.”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo sent a letter to insurance companies in 2014 warning they could not deny gender reassignment surgery like hormone therapy and mammoplasty.

He said coverage for psychological disorders such as ”gender dysphoria” was mandatory under the law.

NY Gov. Cuomo Slammed for ‘Ghoulish’ Abortion Law

    June 18, 2019
New York’s current surrogacy laws permit a woman to carry a child for another parent, but they don’t allow her to be paid for doing it. And at the time of birth, the law recognizes the gestational carrier as the legal mother. Governor Cuomo seeks to change both of these laws, bringing New York into line with 47 other US states that permit contractual surrogacy arrangements. That would make 48 states with bad laws. Womb rental is akin to nine months of prolonged prostitution, and manufacturing children for sale.

New York’s motive for legalizing surrogacy is to avoid insulting the LGBTQIAP+ community. Along with infertile couples, they are the primary beneficiaries of womb rental. So opposition to surrogacy is called homophobic. That, however, is merely a convenient way to insist that women’s bodies should be on the commercial market

All along we voted for pro-late term abortion, pro militant homo-transsexuals and threw Torah principles under the bus because of our special “relationship” and “connections” with Democrat politicians. To quote Churchill, “you chose peace over honor, you shall have neither.”
