Some Coffee Roomers have shunned the idea of a screen name and have courageously made the decision to identify by their real name.
Is it considered public shaming to respond to their posts in a way that might make them look bad?
If yes, can those brave posters waiver their honor in the sake of fair argument?
A fair argument doesn’t require making someone look bad. In the Beis Medrash we also disprove other’s arguments to their face without it being considered bad form or shaming.
The problem is that even though you don’t know who it is but others might know.
@ujm, this is closer to having a discussion is a kava steeble or a haiser mikva, a fair exchange of opinion and no one is shame nor has his mind changed by what someone has to say.

Not always, but sometimes you want to point out a contradiction or fallacy, which you wouldn’t have done in public, but in the CR you have no other choice.
People make up their screen name as they seem fit
Take for example Charlie, it could be it’s not the real Charlie hall and maybe a student or relative that took the name, unless you know it’s really him (like Yossi z when he used to post here) but I would tell him privately)
If some know who goes by a certain screen nane, then there is HalbonasPonim…”ozilSumkeVeOtheiChivro”..
but I would tell him privately
How?
