May 7, 2013 3:32 pm at 3:32 pm #951765popa_bar_abbaParticipantThere are plenty. If you are asking to try to find one, you’ll obviously have to say which city and neighborhood you are in. If you are asking to make a point, you have not succeeded.

If you want a Davening that will move you try Emunas Yisroel its in BoroPark but worth the walk. If you never Davened there Shavuous morning is a great time to daven there. Address is 4310 16th avenue. It is a chassidish shul that has a mix some bend downs daven there. Very nice crowd many Torah Vodaas alumni there.

Very few minutes prior to that, as we are already after the 1st Posuk of Kerias ahToroh, when we recite Akdomus.

Halocho makes special mention of this issue vis a vis Musof, since Musof seals off the Omer Period.
Meanwhile I am seeking a good Yeshivish Minyan for Yom Yerusholayim, where I can recite Hallel with Kavono along with the Minyan.
Yom Yerusholayim Sameach.

May 9, 2013 12:25 am at 12:25 am #951774147Participantdafyomi2711:- You are out of touch with the Minhag Kadmoni which is still followed to this very day at some Minyonim.
Furthermore, the Mishno Beruro says, that no-one is allowed to oppose a Minyan which continues to adhere to this Minhag Kadmoni.
This also is not so different from Haftoro on 2nd day of Shovu’os, where after first 1 or 2 verses, we also digress to chant the Yesiv Pisgom.
May 9, 2013 2:22 am at 2:22 am #951775squeakParticipantBefore the first passuk, after the first passuk, whatever. Point is you get a catnap so you can be alert and not have to listen to taynos like mr dafyomi tried to make up.
