So what do you sing by the yom tov table in between courses? I need help collecting some beautiful songs, appropriate for Shavuos, to enhance the se’udah. Any suggestions?
“Oz Shesh Me’os” etc, {Can be found in Yotzros of Shovuos Mussoph}
Traditional:
Ata Niglayso
Habein Yakir Li
Avinu Av Harachamon
Lulei soiroscha
Mimkoimcha malkeinu
Any songs from Halel
Or you can go for kids songs:
Shavuos is coming nearer
I am a mountain so very high etc
kadesheinu bimitzvosecha
v’taher libeinu
v’atah bonim shiru lamelech
eitz chaim hee
as yaff80 pointed out, so many songs are in hallel
like:
ana hashem
mo oshiv l’hashem
hallelu es hashem
mi k’hashem eloikenu
oidecho hashem
keli ata
etc.
How about:
Ha-Shem gave us a present do you know what it was?
He gave us the Torah, and we must keep it’s laws…….
Ki heim chayeinu
V’nismach b’divrei Torasecha
Kad Yasvin Yisroel – beautiful song. The words were composed by the Vilna Gaon.
147: Are you a yekke by any chance?
Besides for the traditional, beautiful Kad Yassvun Yisroel, don’t forget Benny Friedman’s very nice version!
Also, you can add Yisroel Werdyger’s Torah song to your Seudah playlist (if you don’t have it, it is a free download on Mostly Music’s website)
