Austrians Helmut Lethen and Caroline Sommerfeld are activists in a far-left and far-right party respectively. They are also married to each other. I recall that about forty years ago the Swedish PM and leader of the Opposition were married. Any idea? What about different hashkafot (Litvak/Chassidic, Chareidi/MO, etc.)?
Sounds like James Carville and Mary Matalin. What usually happens if the marriage lasts is that the wife slowly but surely changes her views to be less disagreeable with her husband and is no longer as publicly outspoken expressing her premarital views. Like what occurred with Matalin.
