Does anyone know of available jobs for someone who wants to be a over the road trucker and is Shomer Shabbos?

I’d say just get a job, and then tell them you’re shomer shabbos after you’re hired.

I don’t know if they’ll actually be able to accommodate you, though.

And if they don’t, sue them (and let us know how it goes).

Probably very difficult since you may have to drive a load of potatoes from Idaho to Georgia and pick up a load of peanuts going to Maine on a tight schedule and not drive more hours than the Federal law allows without sleep. Makes it a 7 day a week job at times. If you want to do long haul trucking, why not get in touch with Agriprocessers and ask about trucking their meat to New York from Iowa. They certainly know about Shabbos!

From what I understand Agriprocessors packages the meat onsite, so that way they can just send it with a regular truck.

I was hoping there might be a company that is not so large and therefore knows generally where there freight is going and can work around a Shomer Shabbos schedule for one of their employees. Big companies just need people to fill trucks for anyone one of their possible loads that they may have. Smaller companies might be able to get me to drive 70 hours in 6 days and then I would be able to 34 hour reset over shabbos. I can’t seem to find any Shomer Shabbos logistics companies.
