Not meaning to re-hash this topic again, but it bothers me a lot that Facebook, etc. have reached a point where they are the facilitating massive roundups of intifada sympathizers. How easy it is for violent anti-semites around the world to network together for a common cause! It’s mind-boggling. And it brings home the lasting questions about internet and networking in general. I’ve said before, I’m as addicted as anyone else to all that the internet provides to make my life convenient, but at the same time in my fantasy, I would like to live in a community where internet is banned by the community’s leadership and everyone complies. On some level that most of us probably suppress, this turn of social networking is very, very scary; I feel like Hashem is telling us he disapproves of internet.
