How does one go about it? Should they ask a third party to handle it? This is for within a heimish- yeshivish crowd.
Depends on the person but some suggestions:
– the sibling can speak to the guy directly
– a mutual friend can mention it
– you can get a shadchan to redt it
Do it yourself or get a partner. Don’t hand it off because you deserve the credit. Der Aibishter put the idea in your head for some reason so stay involved.

Are you embarrassed to to approach your sister and tell her you know of someone who might be a shidduch? Are you embarrassed of the other party?
I thought the question was for getting the other party on board. To approach the sister first is a no-brainer.
my brother red me to 2 boys, he told me he had someone for me and then approched his family. the first one he had his friend be the actual go between and the second one he just decided to do it himself. personally it was the best experiences i’ve had because i was sure that my brother would only red someone he not only thought was a good match but that he liked him as well so it made me more comfortable!!

wow! ur brother is actually retding u a shidduch? i would jump at that!!!! all my bros are good for is nixing bochurim and when it turns out that i prob will go out with one of their BEST frnds they spend days and nights telling me reasons y it fasure wont work out!!!!

You have good brothers. It sounds like they really want the best for you. My brother also nixes tons of guys but I trust him completely (he knows me really well) so I thank my lucky stars that I have him.
i do have good brothers, and i love what they do for me!!! cant say that they r not a little bit too overprotective over their sister though!!!!
