So, by now those of you with FB have seen the abhorrent anti-Semitic rantings regarding the Lakewood busing situation. I wish those of you without FB could see this. Mods, I have copied and saved the entire stream thus far before FB could erase or take it down. Is there anyway I can get this to you for posting? Its in MS Word format. its TEN PAGES LONG!!!!

Rabbotai, we are not welcome, we are not wanted, and we are not safe. I never liked playing the race/anti-semitism card, but this is too much.

Do your due diligence. Whether that’s some Tehillim or exercising your constitutional right to legally have “protection” in your home. Now is not the time to be complacent.

Not everything is anti-semitism. When you control the government. You are responsible for ALL citizens. If the Charedim want to be the Mayor and City Council of a city like Lakewood, they cannot ignore non jewish residents of the city.

I was not commenting on that aspect. Read the comments posted there.

    For example:

(name removed) I am a member of stormfront so we will never agree on anything! Live and let live but do not get in the way of my future which is what is happening !! Taking my hard earned money that’s a problem my work is productive to community. However Jews are counter productive in there money making it’s all money made off others slave trading, interest rates etc.

Hmmmmm……Doesnt sound like criticism of Chareidi Mayoral policies.

    ZD,

I like to clarify something which you seem to be missing, Chareidim are Jews as well. they certainly can be the target of anti-semitism. As far as I can tell from all comments posted even on the APP, the Mayor who is “Chareidi” as well as the previous mayors seemed to be well liked. The current mayor is a Major in the US Reserves. And he is very much Chareidi. As much as that thought disturbs you.

The issue seems to be that the public schools parents do not want any part of the school budget to go to private school children. Even though they are entitled to services under state mandates. And that is based in anti Semitism when you read the comments on the blogs. Even if a number of those comments are from less religious Jews.

Most non-charedi jews dont run for office and ignore the wishes of non-jews. Did Bloomberg or Schumer basically ignore every other group?

I am sure Bloomberg and Schumer got Anti-Semtic Hate mail (Bloomberg was especially hated for his anti-gun stance) and you did not see him complain

Even if they are being ignored (a point I do not concede), should this be the result”

“Name Withheld” We’re never going to agree Dave Green your friend list has rabbi ‘ s on it so your just staying loyal to your people and that’s fine bc we all know you only care about yourselves and your people. That’s the whole point handle your own business with your own money and people wouldn’t have any problems. It’s all about money hoarding and seeing yourselves above people the chosen ones and you wonder why people dislike you all around the world you are war mongers with all the money and we’re all tired of it. I went to predominately jewish high school and been to friends bar/bat mitzvahs but the hadidics make them look bad and they know it…

I know nothing about these issues, but if a commenter identifies as part of Stormfront, he is by definition an anti-Semitic rasha.

Ok this is anti-semitism. Are you surprised that it is happening in America. Or even better are you surprised that it is happening in Lakewood a city that has a major Jewish presence? Hate to break it to you but the United States is full of Antisemitism. Maybe since you are so sheltered in Lakewood you don’t experience it as often. But I can tell you based on personal experiences that it does exist here in the States.

BTW this is not a new occurrence after all there was a blood libel in Massena, NY in 1928. #Galus #WeWantMashiach

In contrary to the title -there is nothing startling about it. As we become more Liberal – the less observant Jews become angrier. The Goyim take this as an excuse to be more Antisemitic!

    zahavasdad,

Are you arguing that it is not anti-Semitism for someone to imply that a chareidi is a dirty Jew, because you feel it’s a true statement? That seems to be insinuated when you doubled down on your initial post to this thread even after clear examples of the anti-Semitism were posted.

Also, your chiding that Bloomberg never complained about his nasty mail makes no sense in the context of this conversation. First of all, we’re discussing a public thread on a municipal Facebook site that everyone can read, not private letters or rants on a hate group message board. Second, the mayor of Lakewood has not complained in this discussion, unless you think Ctrl Alt Delete is the mayor. Third, why should Bloomberg have complained? He had a security detail, and the NYPD and FBI likely looked into any threats he received.

And where I live, the same type of comments are seen posted in the other direction. Jews complaining about how their tax money is being taken and wasted on the “non productive downtown denizens”. Racial slurs and generalizations are used liberally. I think every person goes through a similar period of frustration when they are new to paying taxes, and learn how wastefully tax money gets used. After a while, they give up. In this case we are hearing the non jews complain how their tax money is being spent on the jews, in my city its the other way around, in other cities Im sure its non jews complaing about other non jewish recipients, and in Israel its jews complaining about jews getting tax money.

It doesn’t excuse the racism or antisemitism. But thats a separate issue.

Can we please not make this a Charaidi vs. everyone else issue?
