We live in an overtired world.
When people don’t get enough sleep, they act ridiculous.
How do you convince husbands to “preserve” their overworked wives instead of thinking “What happened to the aidel maydel I dated?Where’d SHE go??”
Try THE SLEEP EXPERIMENT.
Make sure she gets adequate sleep for one entire week.
The girl you dated will be back.

who around here sleeps enough? I personally go to be around 1 a.m. Rarely earlier, and sometimes later. (maximum 2 am)
Then babies wake me any where from 4:30 a.m to 5:30 and its hard to fall back. I want to be in bed 10:30 but I don’t know how.January 11, 2011 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm #727963smartcookieMember

When my (sleepless) kids were younger,I wanted to design a House of Sleep for exhausted mothers like myself (with no family in town) to rent a bed by the hour and just sleep!!January 12, 2011 3:16 am at 3:16 am #727966wanderingchanaParticipant

It’s funny you mentioned this, a couple of months ago I was reading some article -that in Manhattan some people are renting out beds for naps for the business people there.January 13, 2011 12:57 am at 12:57 am #727971winny1Participant
Funny how in our early school years we have a rest period so we can function better after resting and we never equate this to the rest of our lives. I read where in japan they have realized that a well rested employee does a better job, so they have brought back the “rest period” concept and give people time to rest during the workday. male or female, it doesn’t matter. We all need it to function.January 13, 2011 2:09 pm at 2:09 pm #727972
Health-you see?I have tons of great “invention” ideas, and year after year I see OTHER folks actually making it happen!(sigh…)
I’d love to see a copy of that article!January 14, 2011 2:45 am at 2:45 am #727973
Hmm I say it definitely works both ways (male or female) I don’t have a wife yet but I will definitely keep this in mind. One thing though (as chayav pointed out) what does this have to do with the title of the thread? (And what happened to my usual lebedig self? I used to fly all around with non-serious comments (ok on occasion there were some serious ones-mods I know this isn’t the place for this just gimme a bit and I should be back into the swing of things please?)January 14, 2011 2:48 am at 2:48 am #727974
Wait I think I just figured out what was meant with the title. It is an over tired mother (along with one of the kids smacking their sister while the mother is telling them not to) am I right?January 14, 2011 3:25 am at 3:25 am #727975s2021Member

I would love to get sleep. but i simply cant fall asleep, Any ideas to help me fall asleep?January 14, 2011 4:56 am at 4:56 am #727977
Hot (and I mean as hot as you can take without burning yourself) shower, physical exertion to “good tired” tire you out and to relieve any stress (physical/emotional known/unknown), check mattress/pillow/bedding if it is comfortable, making sure that the linen on the bed is always fresh (never more than say at most a couple weeks old) can also help (I have personally have experience with this). This is the best I could come up with off the top of my head (as I head off to travel to the land of nod myself)
