Att guitar players which one do you like better and why
That is a “lesser of two evils” choice for me.
I’m a Gibson/Epiphone guy. If I had to chose I would say Stratocaster since it’s more versitile then the Tele.
I’ve always found the Tele to be really twangy and the pickups dont pack a lot of punch.
Les Paul would win that discussion everytime. Now the real question is which kind of Gibson.
My preference for overall use is the Les Paul. But I used to have an Epiphone SG that had some mods done to it and it played really nicely, got that nice Chunk when paired with a Marshall JCM 900.
A few times a month I like to torture myself and go into Guitar Center and play the Epiphone Sheraton II through an Orange Tiny Terror..it responds really well to attack and the volume knob on the guitar.
You can walk in to the place and plug in any guitar into any amplifier and test it out. If you are really interested in purchasing something then you can even ask them to bring in some effect pedals to try too.
I’ve used all 3. Right now I don’t own a Les Paul but my favorite has always been the custom.
