A prominent investor has warned to beware of a “superbubble” in the financial markets.

He mentioned that “superbubbles” cause “underrecognized” damage as they deflate and mark down our wealth.

He suggested investors not hold US stocks, and if they must, then it should be high quality blue chip stocks , which always to better in a serious shake up.

Yidden beware. It’s time to put away money for your future and your families and communities.

The best thing a yid could seriously invest in is tzedaka charidy. Its an eternal investment that can’t go bad. The stocks always go up and you keep it forever and even take it with you to the true world above the olam haemes.

Can you think of a better investment to make then that?

The same “doom and gloom” investment gurus have been predicting Armageddon for two decades or longer. Using classic value investment metrics (P/E, P/S, P/B, PEG etc) the market today, on an inflation adjusted basis, is actually cheaper (i.e. more rationally priced) than it was during prior “bubbles’. In simple terms, you can buy a dollar’s worth of S&P 500 company normalized profits today for less than you could 5, 10 or 20 years ago. Obviously, there were Covid-related bubbles in a subset of stocks like Zoom, Peleton Docu, etc. which have recently been substantially deflated. These companies never had real profits for any sustained period so it was really hard to value them. Also, the various Crypto related stocks are in a bubble of their own but have come down more than 50% in the past several months. Otherwise, the rest of the market is trading quite well and reasonably price for a rising interest rate, mega geopolitical risk environment.

I thought superbubbles were what Superman used for a bath.

Sounds like the name of a car wash to me.

Nah – they’re what you can create on the beach in early morning using the wind, the right soap/water mixture, and an adjustable wand.
