If someone was a drug dealer and gave some of the money to a yeshiva, I should hope most yeshivas would not take the money.

Some here seem to claim the that E’Y is a terrible thing and against the Torah, why do those people take the money anyway (NK does not take the money, but most everyone else does) . If you think if its so terrible dont take the money and dont take ANY benefit from the state.

This means NO money for Yeshivas, Do NOT use Kupat Cholim. DONT ride the public Buses and dont take money for subsidized buses. DONT call the police.

Drug money, really depends if it is an aveirah or not.

The rest of the OP i really dont get.

are you questioning if the money from EY is an aveira or not?

or are you sincerly questioning the ways of the Kanoim?

as far that i am aware, Satmar does not accept any money from the EY.

2cents, are you for real? Drug money is blood money. As for the attitude towards the Medina, one who holds that it is treif cannot even walk in many Charedi neighborhoods as they were built by taking land through eminent domain.

This topic was already addressed to AOM in a different thread. Just like you are allowed to have business dealings with Goyim/Ovdei Kochavim so too with the Medina. And I agree that people shouldn’t take handouts from the Tzionim, but there are plenty of Gedolim who said you could. So you don’t have to follow the Shitta of the Gedolim who said you can’t!

I understand that it is wrong. but an aveira or just hashkafa?

Can the two really be separated? Wouldn’t a rotten core of haskkafah eventually lead one to aveirah?
