the lubavitcher rebbe said no more then 4. get drunk on chasidus
When i was 14 year old my mother warned me that i will get 2 petsch if i came home drunk, so i did not get drunk
Marx, the gemara i quoted above indicates that it’s assur. An argument can be made that privately is different, but that depends how you learn pshat in the gemara. Even if in private, i think there’s still a chashash of kilkul, because she can go out. It’s also a zilusa, not bakovodik for a bas melech.
So, I didn’t get drunk again this Purim. (Nor did I go to sleep during the day… too much to do.)
Once again proving that I am just a terrible Jew.

Wolf: Why didn’t you sleep, despite your schedule, considering you knew the obligation?
@AveiraDeArah
The Gemara at least at a quick glance seems to be indicating that it’s not proper, not necessarily assur.
I know it’s rare but I have seen frum women who were, perhaps not fully drunk, quite tipsy.
Marxist: Your having seen it in no way demonstrates that it is permissible.
Wolf: Why didn’t you sleep, despite your schedule, considering you knew the obligation?
Because I’m a terrible Jew.
