This past Rosh Hashanah, in addition to all the regular tefillos, I specifically asked Hashem for three things this year. I received the first before the end of Sukkos. I received the second thing a few months ago. Now, over the last few days, I received the third thing.
Thank you Hashem, for listening to my tefillos, and granting me what I asked for!May 31, 2011 4:30 pm at 4:30 pm #834472Pac / ManMember
What did you ask for?May 31, 2011 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm #834473Mother in IsraelMember

Feif Un…since you are on such a hot streak, can you add a couple more? Like freeing Shalit??May 31, 2011 7:07 pm at 7:07 pm #834476ZeesKiteParticipant
Be mispalel for me too. I need a new(er) car. Within my budget. One that doesn’t leak water or oil into the engine (or elsewhere). Most of the body still intact. Suspension system at least half operational (body is > 2″ above ground, made a mistake, mine’s about 4″ above). Horn should work. Wipers too. (Could I dare for washer system too?) Transmission, well if it ‘chaps’ that I’d like to move forward after 3 seconds of me prodding it, that would be an improvement over my current one. Non-leaking roof (& floor) is also a plus. All doors in working condition (with workable windows), that too is a plus.
Thanks for having me in mind.May 31, 2011 7:10 pm at 7:10 pm #834477adorableParticipant
ZK- go on craig’s list they have some cars there now that look interesting. My friend is also looking for a car…
Can you daven for all of us here to find our bashert quickly and easily and all those who needs children and shalom bayis should be helped too. Maybe turn your Hakaras Hatov to Hashem into something concrete instead of just telling us how much to thankMay 31, 2011 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm #834478Pac / ManMember
adorable: Maybe ZeesKite can daven to find a cheap car on Craigslist?May 31, 2011 8:44 pm at 8:44 pm #834479HAKOL TOVMember
hashem needs to be thanked not just because he answered your tefillos but because you are alive and breathing this very second!
many times we make the mistake of only thanking hashem when its something big!
its with missing the train too…why do we tend to only thank hashem when we here the train/airplane had a crash or accident and we missed it? even if nothing happens we should be thanking him because if he did it it is only for our benefit!May 31, 2011 9:34 pm at 9:34 pm #834480adorableParticipant

I just saw this old thread again, and thought it interesting.
mikehall12382: I actually did daven especially for Shalit this past Rosh Hashanah! I’m sure it wasn’t just because of my tefillos – I was just a drop in the bucket. But obviously Hashem answered the tens of thousands of Jews asking for Gilad to come home safely!December 12, 2011 6:40 pm at 6:40 pm #834484
Was there even a thread when shalit was released? Just wondering too lazy to check..December 12, 2011 6:41 pm at 6:41 pm #834485
