Can someone please clear up for me what we are allowed and not allowed to do during the three weeks and the nine days?
I’m getting a bunch of different answers, like “we are allowed to go swimming during the 3 weeks”, “we aren’t allowed to go swimming…”
Swiming is alowed during the three weeks but not in the nine days.
Can children go in the pool during the 9 days?
I have heard that instructional swim is allowed during the 9 days, but not free swim. I also know camps that do not allow any swim. Perhaps there are different opinions
What about listening to music, haircuts, buying new items(like clothing) etc.?
Ask your Rav. In our days it was no swimming, bathing , shopping, handwork as knitting or tapestry, no music…in short aveilus. Today, with the doros getting weaker, many people ignore and do what they feel. Take out the kitzur shulchan orech and read what it says!
your not allowed to iron clothes in the 9 days
