October 26, 2015 4:00 am at 4:00 am #1106878JosephParticipantApikorsus.
October 26, 2015 4:09 am at 4:09 am #1106879MammeleParticipantI don’t know if this is what you’re looking for but we refer to it as ????? ???????.
October 26, 2015 4:32 am at 4:32 am #1106880Letakein GirlParticipantSounds right, Mammele, thanks! How is that pronounced?
October 26, 2015 6:55 am at 6:55 am #1106881Avi KParticipantIt dependson why they are forbidden. If they areehretical thye are apikorsut (an apikorsus is a heretic). If they are immodest they are “divrei cheshek”. The sefarim chitzoni’im are those books, such as Sefer Ben Sira, that were excluded from the Tanach. They are not completely forbidden to be read. There is also “chochmat Yevanit” but it is not clear to what that refers. Perhaps sophistry as it literally means “the wisdom of the Greek language” (“Greek wisdom” would be “chochma Yevanit”).
October 26, 2015 9:10 am at 9:10 am #1106882555ParticipantWhy would you be interested in reading ????? ? What’s going on? Try to find a Rabbi/Mentor/Teacher to talk to? Don’t try to be metaken those who wrote them.
Do you read hebrew?

555, that’s a really strange assumption. Did you even read the OP?
October 26, 2015 11:37 pm at 11:37 pm #1106885☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲Participant????? ??????? has a specific meaning. If you want a term that
covers any book that it is forbidden to read, I would suggest
????? ??????.
????? ???????:
s’h-FUH-rim khee-TZOI-nim – colloquial pronunciation
s’h-fuh-RIM khee-tzoi-NIM – technically correct pronunciation
????? ??????:
s’h-FUH-rim ah-SOO-rim – colloquial pronunciation
s’h-fuh-RIM ah-soo-RIM – technically correct pronunciation
