What’s with? If I want fresh donuts from the bakery. They use challah dough. Something tells me you’re supposed to make a ?????? on them. They taste like Bilkelach, and I could have sworn one of them was whole wheat, injected with filling and topped with icing.

December 5, 2013 6:22 am at 6:22 am #991547FriendInFlatbushParticipantDoughnut, not donut, is the better spelling.
December 5, 2013 10:02 am at 10:02 am #991548Geordie613ParticipantFried doughnuts are always mezonos and al hamichyoh, even if you have kdai s’viah.

December 5, 2013 2:26 pm at 2:26 pm #991551notasheepMemberWas going to say that the problem is you can’t spell doughnut. I know that way is easier, but so are other things easier. Still incorrect, though. Anyway, FIF beat me to it.
December 6, 2013 3:22 am at 3:22 am #991552👑RebYidd23ParticipantDOUGHNUT is a primitive spelling from ancient times. DONUT has been accepted as a more environmentally friendly spelling.
December 6, 2013 10:03 am at 10:03 am #991553–ParticipantThe real problen is that no bakery (that I know of) makes a Cholov Yisroel doughnut.
December 6, 2013 4:02 pm at 4:02 pm #991554WIYMemberThe Jewish donut problem: what to do now that you look like a donut after eating so many over Chanukah.
December 6, 2013 4:38 pm at 4:38 pm #991556👑RebYidd23ParticipantDon’t cover yourself in icing.
December 8, 2013 10:10 am at 10:10 am #991557notasheepMemberPrimitive spelling from ancient times? No, all you mean is that the American decision to change spellings to make them easier should be accepted across the world, because no one in the world has the intelligence to spell things correctly. It’s the same with ‘lite’ and dropping the French ‘u’ out of words like colour and honour.
