It has been a few weeks already since a “new” hashgacha has taken root in the 5 towns (I’m putting quotations because I’ve seen the hashgacha for a while but didn’t really pay attention until they got two restaurants)

I’m especially shocked that I haven’t seen our one and only Rabbi Hoffman comment on it (yet?) but can understand if he doesn’t want to “alienate” people that might be on either side.

I don’t mean to cause any harm to anyone as it isn’t my place to know if accusations are true or not as to the certain procedures each vaad employs

It is interesting though that this machlokes started now (around the time of בין המצרים) and I for sure don’t know if it’s לשם שמים

Thank you for reading my rant (if you did, and if you even want to call it a rant, I’m not sure of it myself)

    🤔

I think the moderators would agree that this OP is a source that could lead to unnecessary negativity. Mods?

Rabbi Hoffman wrote an article in last week’s 5 Towns Jewish Times

rational: Rabbi Hoffman has addressed this in the Parshas Pinchas edition of the 5 towns jewish times (front page article).

    Dear Addict,
You could have another coffee if that is how you rant.

I am not sure of the exact dates of when this new hashgachah opened but the letter signed by the 53 rabbonim recommending that the public not rely on this new hashgacha was dated Zayin Tamuz. While I am not sure why Rabbi Hoffman has not addressed the issue in print, 53 local rabbanim have addressed the issue head on. The letter can be found online at 5 towns central.com.
