Has anyone listened to the latest Zev Brenner show where they discussed this crazy thing that is happening near New Square? New Square is creating a Judeanrein zone around itself, and destroying a Jewish Neighborhood in the process.
It seems that chasidim and Zionists are on the same, but on different sides of the coin.
Thoughts?
This has nothing to do with the idolatry and heresy of Zionism.
This is nothing new. Quite a few years ago someone I know bought a house just out of New Square and renovated it it, but New Square sort of pushed them out by buying homes and renting to nisht unzerer undesireables so it made them uncomfortable to stay there. They don’t want other Jewish elements moving near them, even though these people were very frum, just not Skver.
This has nothing to do with the mesirah and hate of anti-Zionism.
This is a slightly more nuanced topic than most people give credit for.
My basic take at this point is that if you want a village with a 1 mile buffer from the world, build a village within the buffer that you already own.
Or, buy up the entire buffer before anyone else does.
DON’T use mafia tactics to make your existing neighbors feel unsafe as a means of scaring them away!
Note: I do not have any information at this point in time to make me believe that they are intentionally terrorizing their neighbors. So far it is only online claims with no evidence. (except for the one person I spoke to who claims to have discussed this with the Rebbe a few times. But he is not corroborating the claims.)
