In New York City, Monsey and Lakewood the price of Cholov Yisroel milk is only a few cents more than non-CY milk.
Some Non jewish stores like Key Food sell Chalav Yisroel milk
Some Jewish stores sell non-CY milk.

sadigurarebbe: That was tried in the 1980’s and while it worked for a while, the “new” company went out of business and Golden Flow is still in operation.
iac: Which old CY milk brands are you talking about? There used to be J&J milk, New Square milk, etc. But now there are other CY alternatives to Golden Flow. Probably more now than ever before.
Whatever happened to Goldman’s select milk, and milk products. Its not just the price of milk, but also cy products such as cream cheese, cottage cheese etc…
apushatayid answered “Goldmans” which offered their products at substantially lower prices than the other brands available at the time relying on the profits from their regular products to cover the higher production costs of the CY products. While it did help at the time as it forced Mehadrin, J&J, and Golden Flow to lower prices, it was not a sustainable policy in the long run.
Whatever happened to Goldman’s select milk
I think that morphed into Ahava/Morning Select/New Square, which morphed into Fresh and Healthy/Tasty.
Today there is also Devash.
