Starving on a fast is to be expected.
The concern, though, is for people who starve themselves each day. Recently had a frum young talented neighbor here who passed from this.

4… giggle girl’s not quite right about chassidish people believing women shouldn’t fast. Belz, Skvere and Klozenberg believe that, but almost everyone else doesn’t. My mother and sisters all fast.

It’s a taanis d’rabonon so are you allowed to taste something and spit it out (such as minty mouthwash)?
i had to miss part of play practice in order to be able to eat, then i got called back after ten minutes and i only got to eat a slice of bread (i had to go to the bathroom…), i have a heter to eat normally on minor fast days.
