    About whom would you say

“This person has a lot to do with whatever good you see in me today”

    For me,it’s my mother

    a few very special teachers

a unique employer whom I’ll never forget

    certain quality friends

And “the ones FOR WHOM I WANT TO BETTER MYSELF MOST AS AN EXAMPLE”

    My children,amu”sh

it used to be my father, a’h (my mother was niftar when I was a teen).

nowadays, it’s been my 29 yr old married daughter… I’ve always called her ‘my Rebbitzen’.

Is there a song on a jewish album named Wind beneath my wings? The line does not appear in the original by Bette Midler.

There is a popular song by Bette Midler called Wind beneath my wings. Wouldnt surprise me if it is ripped off on a jewish album somewhere.

Are you sure? Here’s the chorus of the Bette Midler song (bolding mine):

Did you ever know that you’re my hero,

and everything I would like to be?

I can fly higher than an eagle,

’cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

I shouldn’t admit this, but I do know of the song called “I Will Survive” and I shouldn’t admit this either, but I love the words and also to “I Hope You’ll Dance”–referring not to dancing but rising to the occasion…

not ashamed to admit it, but I knew I shudda held my tongue ;-P

A sister, (with more redeeming qualities than I ever could have) who died young. I decided to (try to)emulate her middos in her zchus. And definitely my husband. Indirectly, through books and tapes, I have been shaped by Rabbi Dr. Twersky and Rabbi Tatz.

And btw I LOVE that song, and, “I will survive”. But that is VERY much btw.

Wolf. I was reffering to the line the OP has in quotations. Was wondering what it has to do with Bette Midlers Wind beneath my wings.

The song by Bette Midler IS The Wind Beneath My Wings.

Beautiful, beautiful lyrucs, to a beautiful melody about timeless and enduring friendship.

My mother’s mother, who was widowed at an early age, and raised two daughters, then helped to raise ALL her aineklach from both daughters (we being the lucky ones for the last thirty years of her life), was one of my three heroes, who had the most impact on who I am today. My parents were the other two. Not a day goes by that I do not miss them with all my heart. I was very blessed to have them.

“Wind beneath my wings” is also, I believe, the name of a CD by James Galway.
