If anyone has to do a thesis on Human Psychology, try using the Coffee Room.I personally think it is a treasure chest of proofs about Human Interaction.
1.People have an inherent need/desire to help one another, even if they are not personally acquainted.
2.People feel good if they can prevent someone from making the same mistakes they did,by offering preventative advice.
3.People can and do develop virtual relationships with others. My guess is,if given the chance to meet other posters in person, about 50% would opt for CONTINUED ANONYMITY,for the safety it offers from personal judgements. The other 50% would put the fun of meeting ahead of those worries.
4.There is an inherent human need for personal validation;thus the possibility of posters being “insulted” by a post that undermines one’s opinion.
ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS IS GREAT THESIS/SCHOOL PROJECT MATERIAL?
