The western countries are getting more antisemitic and woke by the day. Even Trump is taking a heel turn on Israel. For now places like Monsey and Lakewood are safe that’s true. Torah in America has definitely grown and continues to grow but how long can we endure the woke mobs waiting at the gates. Living in Israel does have its challenges. Big decisions would have to be made to make it work, but it feels like we’re at a crossroads.

The Ramban (parshas ki savo) says the Divine promise of protection for the Jewish people is specifically for the Jews in chitz l’uretz – making Eretz Yisroel the most dangerous place for Jews.

Don’t wait until it chas v’shalom gets any worse. Make Aliyah today and be safer and closer to Hashem our loving father also. And be more ready to greet Mashiach with already being in Eretz Yisroel.

Finally someone WOKE up. Maybe thats why its called “woke” because people wake up when its too late!
Come to EY because its a mitzva, not because you are running away. That way you’ll get much more שכר.

We are surrounded by enemies and live with constant ניסים. We have the amud onon that protects us from missiles and all the other shtusim that they throw at us. (Thats why they are called missiles – In EY they almost always miss – Thanks to Hashem who protects us at every moment)

Dont you think that’s its totally inappropriate that people live in palaces in chool and Hashem’s house is swarming with מלאכי חבלה in the form of humans? I totally don’t understand why very chosheve Frum Organizations waste their time trying to prolong the galus (advocating and begging the goyim not to hate us. What do they honestly think? that if I win a lawsuit then all of a sudden he goyim will love us?) instead of sending Ehrliche Yidden to start Yeshivos, Mesivtos and Bais Yaakov high schools that are fitting for Americans and then people can Make aliyah in a much easier way???????
    Need I say more?
Its very painful!! Building up the golus instead of investing in Netzach!

The Israeli government is at least as anti-Jewish as the Democrats. In fact, if you outside of a few northeastern states or California (and avoid “elite” universities), you are unlikely to run into a problem of state sponsored anti-Semitism or anti-Semitic policies. If you are openly “frum” (e.g. men with beard and pe’os, women dressed with unfashionable modesty), and especially frum enough to prefer learning in yeshiva rather than being a soldier, you are probably better off economically in America (if you are modern Orthodox, meaning will to serve in the IDF, you are probably better off in Israel since being in a society where Saturday is often a workday and almost all food is tref is a problem).

    #2399298

somejew, Rambam also says that mitzvos apply only in EY. But at least you are consistent – refusing to participate if you see a risk for yourself, whether Tzahal or Hashem are asking.

akuperma, The israeli govt is what it is because you and your fellow American jews choose to stay in the fat oozing comfortable golus instead of answering the call of Hashem to return to Tzion. If 100,000 frum US jews would make aliyah That would knock the political balance off its feet! Israel would be a different place. If you compare life in US to Isreal then your going in the wrong direction. Its like a kid comparing his house to his friend’s house and actually moving into his friends house. After a while the family will want to get rid of him because he is not a natural part of the household and he actually does have a real home. I hope that US FRUM JEWS have finally WOKE UP.

Zionist delusion gets stranger by the day – though it is consistently heretical and idolatrous, of course, as that is Zionism.

The Zionist paradise is the least safest place on Planet Earth that is inhabited by Jews. It is under “existential threat”, as we read in the news whenever there is any noise about Iran. A standard feature of all homes built there is a “safe room”. Oh, and the very purpose of that “State” is to shmad Jews, and they forcibly draft not only males but females too (to shmad them and their future children and to get young people to start their lives off in impurity).

Under President Trump’s leadership, the USA is getting less woke, not more. It also dropped

Look up the rankings of Canada, Israel, the UK and the USA and the rankings of other countries near those, according to the Global Peace Index (GPI) 2024 and other safety indices. You might find something like:
    – Canada is one of the safest countries, ranking 1.449 on the GPI scale. Countries with similar safety levels include Malaysia (1.427) and Portugal (1.372).
    – United Kingdom has a GPI score of 1.703, placing it near France (2.088) and Germany (1.542).
    – United States ranks 2.622, making it less safe than Canada and the UK. Countries with similar scores include Brazil (2.589) and Mexico (2.778).
    – Israel has a GPI score of 3.115, ranking lower in safety compared to many Western nations. It is near Russia (3.249) and Ukraine (3.280).

But there is another more important point: if you believe that it’s only a matter of time until everyone will need to move to the Zionist paradise (before Mashiach, of course, as Zionism will be history by then), then you might be a heretic and an idolater. G-d has decreed that we will live in countries around the world until He decides to send Mashiach. We say this in our Mussaf prayers, and we just read Shir HaShirim on Pesach where G-d informs us of the famous oaths which the “Religious Zionists” have failed miserably in their pathetic attempts to disprove their validity and/or applicability.

If you believe instead that everyone will have to move to the Zionist State, then you are obviously denying that G-d runs His world including the galus in which He placed His children and instead attributing power to this idol “State”.

If you’re considering Aliyah, do so intelligently and plan carefully. But definitely do so.

“Rambam also says that mitzvos apply only in EY”. What’s the source for this? And this is all mitzvos? I remember reading that someome (maybe Rambam) holds that Tefillin and Mezuzah apply only in EY, but that in reality the original author probably said trumah and maiser, and abbreviated it as T’M, and later someone incorrectly translated that as Tefillin and Mezuzah.

Some Jews cannot afford to make aliyah.

It is too expensive. Not all Jews are rich.

    #2399717

Yankele, sorry, I misspelled RambaN 🙂

This starts with the discussion that Avos observed mitzvos but Yaakov married 2 sisters and made matzevah, Amram married his aunt …

    Breishis 26:5
For the Commandments are the ordinance of the G-d of the land, even though we have been charged with personal duties in all places. Our Rabbis have already alluded to this secret, and I will yet call your attention to it with the help of G-d.

    Vaikra 18:25
These [mitzvot] are not compulsory in the Exile with the exception of personal obligations, such as tefilin and mezuzot. And the Sages explain that this is so in order that [mitzvot] will not be novel to us upon our return to the Land of Israel, because the primary observance of all of the mitzvot [can be performed by] those living in G-d’s land.

Around ten years ago, and Israeli Rabbi asked me, in Hebrew:
    When are you making aliyah?

    I said to him:

BiZman SheYesh Li Shnai million dollarim.

(When I have two million dollars.)

    square root.
You’ve come to the practical level of Aliyah. Contact “its shayech” – the chareidi department of Nefesh bnefesh.
Health Insurance and Tuition are much cheaper in Israel.
And In Israel we have fewer “needs”
and less place to put all that “stuff”!

Hakatan – Please stay in America.
The last thing we need is to import looney bins who obviously haven’t learned too much Torahj in their lives.

Typical response of a Zionist idolater, spewing nonsense insults in the fact of facts (and a little Torah) that don’t work for the Zionist idol.

As someone who made Aliyah in 1988 and is still here, I say yes to Aliyah. If you find your place, you will not regret your decision. But come with a plan. Nefesh B’Nefesh can help but they cannot you give skills for employment (or skills for Kollel). I don’t know your Hashkafic views or financial situation and both of those determine where and how you live. If you are a young family I recommend a religious settlement. You have Hariedi yishuvim such as: Tel Tzion and Beitar. Dati Leumi like Beit-El and Kedumim, Modern Orthodox like Efrat. Ramat Beit Shemesh is best for Hareidi Americans to acclimate to Israeli life but it’s not cheap. Also, when you are part of a smaller comunnity like a settlement, finding work close to home is easier. This is because local businesses hire local residents. There are also, jobs for women such as teachers, ganenet, maon, or local government offices. If your Hebrew is good and you have some higher education there are jobs to be found. Good luck

    Evalimoshavlo – agree 100%
HaMiragel; Do NOT not use the word Tzion out of context. Tzion refers to Eretz Yisroel, the land Hashem gave to the children of Avraham Avinu (which some misguided people call Medinat Yisroel or Israel – and why would you support this warped notion of Tzion as a secular country attempting to be K’chol Hagoyim??). The Kedusha of Eretz Yisroel is ever-lasting and the Mitzvah to live in Eretz Yisroel is chol b’zman hazeh. Hashem has given us a golden opportunity, that even Moshe Rabbeinu wasn’t zoiche to. Instead of shrying about the “Tziyoinim” (which they are NOT – they are misguided ignoramuses), and besmirching Hashem’s Heilige land, do what countless of other yidden are doing – living and learning in Eretz Yisroel while davening and waiting for Moshiach.

AAQ – “This starts with the discussion that Avos observed mitzvos but Yaakov married 2 sisters and made matzevah, Amram married his aunt …”

That was before Kabbolas HaTorah… Which happened at Har Sinai in חוץ לארץ…

    Breishis 26:5
For the Commandments are the ordinance of the G-d of the land, even though we have been charged with personal duties in all places. Our Rabbis have already alluded to this secret, and I will yet call your attention to it with the help of G-d.

‘Personal duties’ includes כל התורה כולה except for מצוות התלויות בארץ and קרבנות… The secret is that even ‘personal duties’ are imbued with an enhanced level of Kedushah when done in Eretz Yisroel.

    Vaikra 18:25
These [mitzvot] are not compulsory in the Exile with the exception of personal obligations, such as tefilin and mezuzot.

‘Such as’ again includes everything in the שולחן ערוך. The Ramban didn’t start a different religion חס ושלום.

And the Sages explain that this is so in order that [mitzvot] will not be novel to us upon our return to the Land of Israel, because the primary observance of all of the mitzvot [can be performed by] those living in G-d’s land.

‘Primary’ as in special level of שלמות הקדושה previously mentioned. When משיח will come we will be זוכה to do the mitzvos on such a high level of Kedusha and Deveykus that everything we did in גלות will pale in comparison. However, there is a bigger מעלה in Hashem’s eyes, so to speak, to the mitzvos we do now, because the nisyonos are so much bigger…

Not exactly… The Ramban only says there that once the Jewish people go into Galus in חוץ לארץ (which we did…), then the גזרה of חורבן ends, and the promise of לא מאסתים ולא געלתים לכלותם kicks in.

The chinuch issue can be solved in a few months.
People have to shift gears and WANT to solve that issue.
As I wrote above – Its a matter of earmarking funds to building up the proper Institutions that will service the Chareidi Anglo community in EY
There are already many excellent such mosdos in EY but there would be a need for many more when US Jewry Makes Aliyah en masse , hopefully מרצון.
I absolutely cant understand all these new buildings for mosdos that are going up in the US.
Why are people putting their money on קרך הצבי.?
Look into Rav Shapira of Lublin – the one thing he regretted about bldg his yeshiva was that he didn’t do it in EY.
I cant understand why ehrliche Yidden are blowing so much money, time and effort for advocacy etc etc. Lawsuits etc etc.
Take that money and invest it in mosdos in EY.
US Jewry can change the political, cultural, and religious balance in EY – Please rise to the occasion!
