How much sleep do you need to function normally during the day without feeling tired?

I collect as much sleep as I can now to save up for when Im a sleep deprived mother. Any other single girls out there feel this need like I do? 🙂

BpGirl: That’s roughly 4 hours a regular night AND YOU’RE NOT TIRED?

I can’t remember the last time i was FULLY rested! even when i get a treat and sleep 6-8 hours straight, i wake up tired. Thats part of our job! but with this amount i am able to function and not get irritated quickly so i guess that means its enuf for now(eventhough i wud love to get more, its just not feasible with only 24 hours in a day!!!)

At least 5. I woke up very early for work in the years prior to me getting married, and in the 7 months since iV had a baby, although he is a good sleeper, I have yet to have a full nights sleep.

More than I have gotten in the last 35 years. But to feel optimally alert, at least 7. 8 is better. Yeah, that’s not happening anytime soon. These days I’m happy when I sleep 4 consecutive hours without waking up. It could always be worse…

I sleep around 7, and I’m still tired during the day. Maybe I just need more sleep than others.

ps 6hrs is for functioning normally with feeling tired – that feeling is just part of life 🙂
