I heard that the Rov received his Semicha on all 4 volumes of Shulchan Aruch at Twenty years old.Rav Moshe Feinstein ZTL used to refer shailos to him in his beis Medrash already at that age.
He was the biggest tzadik I personally had shaychus with in my entire lifetime besides Rav Avigdor Miller.
Rav Blumenkrantz was a KING in bain adam l’chaveiro.
Thank you for reminding us of his yahrtzeit.

the one time I went to a pre-Pesach shiur R’Blumenkrantz, a’h, was giving, I was soo impressed by his genuine warmth & sense of humor.
May his neshama have an aliyah.
Rav Blumenkrantz zt”l was a true tzadik. He was sooo patient. Years back, a relative of mine found out that her oven was treif. Rav Blumenkrantz spent much time with her on the phone helping her to kasher her oven. I spoke to him a few times – once in person! – and boruch HaShem had the zechus to personally benefit from his chochmas haTorah, wisdom, kindness . . . .

i was zoche to have him in seminary and every morning i would bring him a coffee, one day he told me that i will get a great shidduch for thinking of others and that every day i am so concerned and get him a coffee. at that time i was young, not in shidduchim and i laughed it off, but then when i started it was hard and after a while i got depressed and one day remembered what rabbi blumenkrantz said. it gave me chizuk to continue and i am now married 20 years to a great person!!!
He was teaching us how one should have eat favorite foods on the second Shabat seuda. So of course, we all asked what was his favorite food. He told us about this sweet Yerushalayim kugel. We were curious and yes, he gave us the recipe! He said that he did not want to be matriach his wife to prepare it as she had so many thing to do, so he would make it every erev Shabbos!
He came to class and immediately apologized once for having a stained jacket. It seems that he was holding his baby and didn’t notice that the baby had spit up on him till he got closer to work.
So that means he was busy in his suit jacket helping his wife!
