    Does anyone know if any sefarim discuss the freemasons at all? Officially they seem to be a some overhyped club that is actually very parve but I hear all sorts of conspiracy theories about them. However most of the people who spout these theories don’t seem to be very reputable and all the things they claim about the masons, just as many people claim about am yisrael as well (i.e. controlling the banks, controlling politics, etc), so it makes me doubt the veracity of their claims.

    I’m very curious to know if any of our chachamim have what to say about them?

    I believe some of their official beliefs are kefira.

    Joseph – from what I understand their core requirements are that you have to believe in a supreme being and some sort of scripture. They also have some sort of belief that their forefathers played some key role in building bayis rishon.

    You were here for years without a subtitle? Well, I guess now we know how to get one – either ask for one yourself or have someone else ask.

    I didn’t realize that Freemasons have to believe in anything. I thought that it was like a fraternity.

    Joseph: So what happens if someone believes, joins, and then stops believing?

    I might be mistaken, but I think Senator Chuck Schumer is a freemason. Does that tell you anything?

    Don’t judge Freemasonry by the Freemasons.

    They’re only human.
