“Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend, and together we will walk in the way of Hashem.”
The most classic uncle Moishy song ever, right?
It turns out the quote (except for the Hashem part) was actually by Albert Camus, a French author!
Any thoughts?
Uncle Moishy came up with it on his own. It is mere coincidence if someone else used something similar previously.
lol, I seriously doubt Camus wrote that…if you’ve ever read anything he’s wrote.
Loads of Uncle Moishy songs are parodies.
We’re a family and like a tree . . .
Willaby WOllaby . . .
And so many others. Not sure what the chidush is.
Uncle Moshe doesnt write the lyrics to his songs. He just sings them. Speak to his songwriter.
Uncle Moishy is a great Rebbe!! don’t doubt him.
We were singing this in NCSY long before anyone ever heard of Uncle Moishy.
It’s not Uncle Moishy’s fault you didn’t hear of him.
