It’s not boro park, but Landau’s in Flatbush has a minyan at 6:05. The EN will be open.

I’m sure there are many. Rabbi Bluth’s shul on E2 and Cortelyou has three minyanim with the first very early. All have the e”n open for megillah. If you look it up they have a hot line with the zmannim.

What is the inyan of davening vasikin on Purim (besides the same inyan that applies every day of the year)?

Does it apply to women too?

I think Popa is looking for a girl who davens vasikin daily.

There is a lot of work for women to do on Purim. The earlier they daven and hear Megillah, the more hours they have to finish up shalach manos and prepare the seudah.

There are ceretain days of the year where the minhag is to start davening early. Besides Purim, the others include, mochras yom kippur, hoshano rabbo, and there are others mentioned in the mishna brura.

Although any day you daven vasikin is an eis ratzon it is especially auspicious Purim morning.

Simchas Purim to all fellow Yidden and may we all daven and be granted health, parnassah, nachas from children, and ultimately the end of this terrible golus that is slowly eating away at our neshamos. Every generation further from Har Sinai is lower than the previous one and is the Chazal that underscores this fact and we all see it in our own lives if we really pay attention.

One of the Chassidic Rebbes once asked that if the Shaarei Demaos (Gates of Tears) are never closed why are the gates necessary at all?

He cleverly responded that they do indeed act as a barrier for silly supplications that a person may invoke thinking that request is important when it truly is not.

Although seemingly inherently obvious, we do need to focus and daven for what is truly needed.

Hug and compliment your spouse and kids and help Hashem enter our lives.

I’m sure Emunas Yisrael will be open for women, but not sure about Vasikin.

I hear that vasikin on Purim morning is a segulah for a shidduch. Although, it can probably be a segulah for whatever one needs, as Purim is such a special day.

Mod who heavily edited mine– something should be said to Haifa girl how can she take such a big segualah and turn it into dirt what in the world?! She shouldn’t be allowed to post I thought you mods edit stuff I see you edit the stuff that tells you what to editand whatto allow!!!

You are overreacting and blowing her statement out of proportion. Which you are free to do if you wish, but without personal attacks, please. (And I am not the mod who edited your post, but I agree with the one who did.)

WIY: FYI, there’s going to be a 6:30 AM Megila reading at Emunas Yisrael. I’m going to try to make it. But I can’t sit through an Emunas shacharis so will hopefully catch a davening elsewhere. Anywhere else that starts at 7:30?

(It’s too long! How does anyone have the patience?! It’s 4+ hours only on Shabbos! And 2 hours during the week. I daven elsewhere than every so often come to Emunas for the singing parts. 🙂 )

superme, I don’t understand why you insist on interpreting haifagirl’s comment in this manner. As far as I can tell, all she did was cite a possible explanation for the practice, without any implicit judgment or condescension. What YOU are doing, on the other hand, is not endearing you to the mods.

For vasikin, yes. for your comment, I doubt it. Haifa made an innoccent comment( she should forgive me for tipsy gtmrammar errors).

Sorry, Superme, I have to agree with Haifagirl without disagreeing with you. Although davening vasikin on Purim is a big segula and many people, women included go for that reason, I personally know many many women who go for practical purposes. Purim is a very busy day for many people with too much to do and not enough time. If one has little children at home the parents need to go to different minyanim and that can take a few hours extra. Many women go to the earliest minyan so their husbands can daven at their regular minyanim and then start their day earlier. This too is a legitimate reason for going to the earliest minyan. Haifa was in no way trying to say that people shouldn’t go for the segula.
