    What’s the difference between the velvet yarmulkas or the black non velvet ones? Like is one more of a fashion statement? Is one more yeshivish? What kind of gut would wear the no velvet one?

    I’m a pretty regular gut and I wear a celvet yarmulka. I wouldn’t be caught fead wearing a mon celvet one.

    velvet with a rim are the most yeshivish ones after goes the plan velvet.. than material black ones the gerrer chasidim wear but their huge like soup bowls.. and some rosh yeshivas wear them also… dunnno just my observations
